Puzzle Games

A good puzzle is a tiny argument with yourself. You look at the board, you are sure you know the answer, and then the board politely disagrees. The fun lives in that gap between “obviously this” and “oh, wait”. Our puzzle games are built to give you that feeling quickly, in rounds short enough for a bus stop and deep enough to keep you thinking afterwards.

Everything here follows a few house rules. The rules of each game should fit in a sentence or two. Nothing is hidden behind luck you can’t see. Mistakes are forgiving enough that you learn from them instead of rage-quitting. And every game runs in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to install and no sign-up.

Here is what is on the way:

  • Arrow Hotel, an arrow puzzle where ghost guests can only slide in the direction they are pointing, and your job is to get them all out without a bump.
  • Tiny Grid Daily, a block placement puzzle on an 8x8 board where pieces are little houses and full lines mean new neighbors moving in.

Both have a daily mode that gives everyone the same puzzle each UTC day, so you can compare results with friends. Both are ready to play. We’ll add more puzzles here as they leave the workshop.
