About The Floor Is Lying
The Floor Is Lying is a troll platformer set on a cardboard stage. You are Pip, a round and slightly worried blob, and all you have to do is run, jump and reach the door. The trouble is the stage itself. Floors crumble the moment you trust them, ledges tilt on a hidden hinge, doors grow feet and wander off, and gravity flips inside a dashed box.
Every death is a joke with a punchline. The blob pops into paper confetti, a hand lowers a sign that says “RUDE.”, the counter ticks up, and you are back at the start before you can sigh. The lie that got you lights up with its name, so the second attempt is always smarter than the first. Every trap shows a small tell from the very first second: a hairline crack, a weight sticker, a pair of tiny shoes under a door. Spot it and you can beat it, which makes a clean run very satisfying.
There are sixty single-screen rooms in six chapters, and each chapter brings a new family of lies: the floor, moving parts, the door, gravity, things you cannot see and finally the screen itself. Every tenth room is a Confession, where the stage tells you the truth for once. Each lie you fall for is added to the Liar’s Gallery, so getting caught is progress too.
Come back every day for the Daily Lie: three rooms with their traps moved and mirrored, the same for everyone, scored by deaths and time. Then share your count with a friend and see who fell for it more.
How to play
- Run left and right and jump. Reach the door at the end of each room.
- Anything with red stripes and teeth kills you, and so does falling off the stage. Everything else is a prop, and props lie.
- Every lie has a tell you can spot before it fires: a hairline crack, little feet under a door, a hinge pin, a tiny sticker.
- When a lie gets you, you are back at the start in a blink and its tell lights up with its name. Use it, find another route, and try again.
- Clear a room with no deaths for three stars. Clear 8 of the 10 rooms in a chapter to open the next one.

| Input | What it does |

Tips
- Look before you run. Every room shows all of its lies from the first second, just quietly.
- A sign that says a floor is fine might be telling the truth. Every tenth room is a Confession.
- Rooms can change after your first death, so the route that worked last time is not always the route now.
- Stuck? Turn on Show tells in Settings to outline every suspicious prop for good.
FAQ
Is it fair?
That is the whole idea. No lie fires in your first half second or right next to the start, every lie has a visible tell, and every room is checked by a bot that plays the intended route after every lie has fired. Deaths are meant to be funny, not cheap.
What if I cannot get past a room?
After 10 deaths in a room a free button points out the next lie, and after 20 deaths you can skip the room for free. You only need 8 of 10 rooms to open the next chapter, so one stubborn room never blocks you.
How does the Daily Lie work?
Every UTC day everyone gets the same three rooms, each with its lies moved, mirrored or retimed so a room you know still surprises you. Your score starts at 3,000 and loses 120 points per death and one per second. Your first finish goes on the daily leaderboard, a Daily you leave picks up where you stopped, and finishing every day builds a streak.
Are there ads?
Never during a room, never after a death, never in the Daily and never in your first three rooms. A short ad may play when you press Next level, at most every third room and at least two and a half minutes apart. You can choose to watch one to reveal a lie or skip a room early, but both also unlock for free.
What does Share copy?
Your death count and the level number, or the Daily number, deaths, time and streak, plus a link. Never your name or any id.
Design notes
Troll platformers live or die on whether a death feels funny or feels like cheating. Every lie here has a tell from the first second, respawn takes a quarter of a second, and the game never shows an ad because you died or skips a room for you. Danger is always striped and toothed, so it never depends on telling colours apart.
